Choctaw Lake is located near London, Ohio comprised over 870 homes at a 285 acre private lake. Because the community is situated between Dayton and Columbus, Choctaw Lake residents enjoy the quiet life with the amenities of both large cities only a convenient drive away.
As a private lake community, Choctaw Lake residents enjoy a resort like lifestyle. How many homes and people live here?
There are approximately 875 single family homes in Choctaw Lake. Most homes are situated on lot sizes that range from 1/3 acres to about 3/4 acres with some exceptions on both sides, of course. There are approximately 2300 residents total.
Approximately how much are the annual association fees and what do they cover?
Every home owner pays an annual $25 membership fee. Additionally, residents pay lot assessments, road assessments, and a lake clarity assessment. Together, the membership fee and assessments amount to approximately $1,400 paid annually, either in total or in quarterly payments. These assessments support the maintenance and landscaping of our 285 acre community including road maintenance, lake water quality, and common area maintenance. Fees and assessments also cover full and part-time employees and the salaries of our onsite Madison County commissioned deputies.
Who has access to the Lake?
Choctaw Lake is a private, deed restricted lake. Only property owners have lake access rights. Residents have access to a beach with swimming area, and several boat access areas located around the lake.
