Attention Eastside..White Flags

November 24, 2021

Hello,

Starting Wednesday, November 24th and through the next couple of weeks, there will be a white flag in the front yard of each property on the east side. Please do not remove them.

The flags are being used as an identifier of the water service shutoff valve. CUI has moved forward with implementing Geo-mapping to enhance asset management and operations management. Once the valves are all located and flagged, our GIS service partner will walk the community to begin the geo-mapping process for the service valves and main distribution valves.

During this time, we will inventory broken risers and broken/missing caps. We will also note any shut-off valves that may be buried in landscaping or any other items. These areas will take future remediation to uncover. Note that this may mean the removal of your landscaping plants, hardscaping, or trees. The utilities need to be accessible. I ask that everyone use this as a notice when considering any future landscaping or projects along the front of your property or along the side of the property. Avoiding utility easements will save you frustration in the future, and allow quick access to your shutoff should an emergency happen.

Our goal is to have the east side mapped out before winter sets in. The west side will be completed in 2022.

Thank you
