Garden Club Donation

November 18, 2020

A big thank you to the Garden Club for paying for the plant material for the new landscape around the flagpole at the west entrance. The plants selected will provide a subtle patriotic theme. Nepeta was chosen to be planted along the outer perimeter of the bed. The plant will produce light blue flowers from spring through early fall. Behind the Nepeta, Quickfire Hydrangeas fill the rest of the bed. Quickfire Hydrangea produces a white flower in early summer. As summer progresses, the flowers begin to turn red.

Along with the aesthetic improvement, the new landscape provides easier access to the flag pole.

Please continue to support the Choctaw Lake Garden Club. Club members work hard to raise funds to assist with enhancing the landscape throughout the community. You can support their efforts by purchasing notecards, summer flower baskets, and fall mums from the Garden Club.

Thanks again to all Garden Club members!!
