First Summer Concert!! Friday May 27th!

May 25, 2022

The Temps

May 27 (Friday)

(The Wicked Lobstah/M&T’s Twisted Treats)

The Temps, founded in 2010 and from Springfield, are a costume party band that plays familiar tunes that people know.   The Temps are a return act from last year.  They work best on stage, entertaining with their upbeat renditions of dance cover music from the 80’s to today. Their uncanny and clever mix of music genres stretches from The Black Eyed Peas, Johnny Cash, and Green Day to Michael Jackson, Flogging Molly, and Lady Gaga. Last year, The Temps had the biggest party going (i.e., people dancing) than any other act during our Summer Concert Series.

Their fans, many of whom frequent shows in “I love Nerds” and “Talk Nerdy to me” t-shirts, have come to expect the unexpected from the “fab” five-some. From the beginning of the show when the band runs on stage to “Eye of the Tiger” until simultaneously stripping out of their office attire (on stage) down to their matching necktie t-shirts, The Temps are sure to quench their fans’ thirst for entertainment!

August 4, 2021

We got a good one for you this Saturday! The weather is forecasted to heat up and so is the music! See below for details of the band.

Thanks again to Dan Blazer for scheduling the bands, and to Ernie’s Pharmacy for sponsoring all Summer Concert Series.

PARADISE ISLAND BAND

A six-piece powerhouse band based out of Columbus, Ohio, the Paradise Island Band has been entertaining audiences throughout the Midwest for nearly two decades.  A Great Club Band that can “Rock the House.”  They brought the house down last year as part of our Summer Concert Series.  Known for a crowd-pleasing diversity of styles, Paradise Island does it all.  From rock classics to Motown melodies to blues, funk, and current hits, they play with a power and authenticity that guarantees a party whenever and wherever they perform.

Seasoned Professionals, Paradise Island features an incomparable line-up of the region’s best entertainers.   During the summer months, Paradise Island performs at many outdoor concerts and festivals.  They also spend a great deal of time working famous resort sites from the Round House on Put-In-Bay to Sloppy Joe’s in Key West, Florida.  Entertaining for corporate events, private parties, wedding receptions, and club gigs fill out the rest of their calendar, making them one of the “hardest working bands in show business.”  The band is fronted by a fabulous female singer, Shaun Booker.  Additionally, the band features a saxophone, guitar, keyboard, drums and bass.

July 17th Summer Concert:

July 7, 2021

The fun doesn’t stop on the 4th of July!! The next summer concert is scheduled for Saturday, July 17th. Below is the 411 on the band Rendition!

Rendition, a return act to our Summer Concert Series, has been performing classic rock and roll around the central Ohio area for years. Comprised of Baby Boomer’s playing the music they know and love, from the early years of rock through the 70’s, this group of professionals, from all walks of life, seeks to share this love for the sounds of the past. In recent years the addition of the horn section has moved the Rendition sound to the Chicago, Blood Sweat and Tears, and other late 60’s to 70’s groups who incorporated the brass sound in their music.  The songs they play include songs from The Blues Brothers, Michael Buble’, Santana, the Doobie Brothers, and others too numerous to mention.    Still, nothing can overshadow the exceptional guitar, and vocals, grounded by the rhythm section. There is always plenty of entertainment as Rendition energizes their audiences wherever they perform.

June 26th Concert: Arrowhead Grounds

June 23, 2021

The Locals

June 26 (Saturday)

The Locals formed in 2018 for one-night-only as the musical entertainment for an annual fundraiser to support epilepsy and a departed friend. Comprised of Dayton-area musicians — each with their own respective bands and musical projects — the one-off collaboration turned into a few-times-per-year lineup.  You can think of The Locals as an all-star group of musicians.  Led by lead singer Nikki Luttrell and drummer Ben Willis, the band is comprised of Ernie Luttrell on keyboards, Jason Coots and Matt Bourelle on guitars, and Dave Horner on bass. The Locals play a little bit of everything: the Eagles, Prince, Paramore, Fleetwood Mac, Boston, and Tears for Fears, to name a few.    The Locals will knock your socks off!
