We have had some changes concerning our fire protection in 2020. Due to the planning of Choctaw Utilities with the fire hydrants installed and the completion and the staffing of the new fire/EMS station that is less than 2 miles from Choctaw, our insurance ISO ratings have dropped significantly. Homeowners are reporting savings on fire insurance.
The documents supporting the ISO ratings can be viewed and downloaded from the Madison County website under Communities. https://www.co.madison.oh.us/community/townships/somerford/index.php

That is right folks, Santa himself will be here in Choctaw on 12/06/2020 at 3:00pm!
The red line is where the parade leads off headed on their journey around the community!
There will not be a tree lighting event this year. The lights and displays that we all love will still be on display for everyone to enjoy! The good news is that Santa has informed us that he is going to take a lap around Choctaw Lake to spread the holiday spirit. The parade will start at the Lodge at 3:00PM on 12/6. The parade will follow as stated on the map above. The flow is red line to the green line. Position yourself on the passenger side of the road to view Santa. He will be waving from the passenger side of the fire truck. Please maintain social distancing while watching the parade pass by.
Santa has asked that we install a mailbox by our lighting display for all the kids to submit their wish list. The CLPOA elves will get this installed by 12/6 per Santa’s request.
Like many events, we plan to get back to normal in 2021.
Thank you to Brandon Creek, Nathan Stull, and Mike Pompura for volunteering to be on the Nominating Committee.
This committee will be working to secure candidates to fill three CLPOA BOT seats.
Our office renovation is 98% finished! We love it! It’s such a better feeling walking into the office in the morning. I am confident you will experience the same feeling when you enter.
This project was planned and funded with the BEG assessment. We appreciate the continued support for this assessment. It has resulted in many great enhancements to our Buildings, Equipment, and Grounds.
Carla, Casi, and I thank the community and the board for providing us with the opportunity to transform our work space into a much more positive environment.
Below are some pictures of the project for you to scroll through. Enjoy.
