Boating Season: It’s here!

May 11, 2022

Great to see all the boats being put in the water. Boating safety is key every year. Please be sure to brush up on the boating rules and safety practices. Be sure to educate your guests as well. To assist, I will publish recommendations for safe boating and verbiage from the association’s Rules and Regs.

Below is a great map to review with your family and friends. This map does a great job of illustrating how to navigate the lake while enjoying water sports.

Please note that this map is not part of the CLPOA Rules and Regulations. It is a very good recommendation to enjoy the best conditions and provide safety for the lake and shorelines.

Next week we will touch on navigation direction, speed limits, and no-wake zones.

Be safe out there. Everyone is responsible for everyone’s safety. This is where we need everyone to put 100% effort into working together.

Drinking-Water Discoloration

January 5, 2022

Hello,

If you experience discolored water, it is always good to speak to your neighbors to see if they are experiencing the same issue. Just as important, I am requesting that an email be sent to mcasimir@choctawlake.com, or give call/text at 740-837-0833 if you experience any discoloration. We want to track these situations to determine if there are any common themes. (time of day, day of week, etc.)

We will also start to share some common themes to help you with troubleshooting possible causes. Keep us informed, we are here to help.
