Lake Water Quality Update |
Below are the sample results from the 8/15/23 pull. Although visually the lake looks decent, our microcystin levels continue to slowly climb. Our last results indicate a level of 4.2 ug/l. As of 8/24, I am planning to do a light treatment to the lake on Tuesday 8/29. We should receive our 8/22 samples back on 8/28. The results from that sample will be a factor in whether we treat or not. Below are the microcystin readings from our tests. Beach: 6/12: Not Detected 6/20: 0.300 ug/l 6/27: Not Detected 7/5/: 0.520 ug/l 7/11: 0.820 ug/l 7/18: 2.88 ug/l 7/25: 3.70 ug/l 8/1: 2.75 ug/l 8/8: 2.9 ug/l 8/15: 4.2 ug/l George’s Fork 6/12: Not Detected 6/20: Not Detected 6/27: Not Detected 7/5: 0.870 ug/l 7/11: 0.890 ug/l 7/18: 2.75 ug/l 7/25: 2.50 ug/l 8/1: 1.99 ug/l 8/8: 3.1 ug/l 8/15: 4.2 ug/l The EPA advisory level for no contact with public recreational water is when a lab sample states 8 ug/L. BUILDING PERMITS A. Scope of Permits
(1) Building Permits shall be required for the construction or alteration of the following items as defined by Section 4 Express Standards of Construction:
(a) Houses
(b) House Additions
(c) Garages & Outbuildings
(d) Sheds
(e) Boathouses
(f) Driveways
(g) Fences
(h) Decks
(i) Patios
(j) Docks
(k) Seawalls
(l) Swimming Pools
(m) Siding
(n) Patio Roof, porch roof, sunroom, screened porch
(o) Roofing
(p) Other structural alterations that are not covered above. This may include but is not limited to boat lifts with or without canopies OR anything built or placed on the property or in the lake. Please contact the CLPOA Office for further information about when a permit is needed.
BUILDING PERMIT FEES (Please note that starting a job without a permit may result in a penalty up to five(5) times the cost of the original permit.)
(2) Building Permit fees and deposits will be paid according to the following schedule: (Revised 1/96, 9/98, 7/08, 4/17, 9/17))
(a) House Additions up to 300 sq. ft. (Including sunrooms and screen porches) $200 $1000 deposit
(b) House Additions 301 to 600 sq. ft. (Including sunrooms and screen porches) $300 $1000 deposit
(c) House Additions 601 to 1200 sq. ft. $500 $1000 deposit
(d) New Homes and Additions 1201 sq. ft.- and over $800 $1000 deposit
(e) Garages $300 $1000 deposit
