CLPOA Rule of the Week: Boating Speed Limit

May 26, 2021

Reminder: The speed limit for boats and jet skies is 35 mph. Please review this with your family and guest, especially with the busy Memorial Day weekend coming up. It’s ok to go slower during busy times.

While discussing the speed limit, be sure to review that all Coves and the areas between shorelines and buoys are idle speed. These are areas that people may be swimming, floating, or kayaking. It is a must that watercraft travel at idle speed.

Be safe everyone! Share the word, it’s the cool thing to do!
