CLPOA Rule of the Week: Fishing

March 14, 2018

Please become familiar with the CLPOA fishing rules.  Hopefully weather breaks so you all can comfortably fish!  Below is the verbiage from Rules and Regs.

  1. FISHING
  2. Catch Limits: (Revised September 12, 2017).

Daily catch limits of fish are as follows:

Large/Small Mouth Bass: Catch & release only

Crappies: No minimum length, limit 10 per resident; guests are restricted to catch & release

Wipers: Catch & release only

Carp: No minimum length or limit; carp are an invasive species harmful to our lake water quality, and the habitat of the fish we desire; PLEASE DO NOT RELEASE CARP BACK INTO THE LAKE.

For all other types of fish caught, practice good judgment in conserving this valuable natural resource.

  1. Guest Fishing Passes:

To fish at the Lake, nonresident family members and all other guests must have in their possession a valid fishing pass issued by the Property Manager. Guests must release any fish caught back into the lake. Passes will be good for one week from date of issue including the date of issue, with a maximum of four guests per pass. There will be one pass issued per property owner at a time. The property owner bears ultimate responsibility for the compliance by guests with Choctaw Lake Rules & Regulations (Effective 15 Jun. 1995).
