Please note that pets are to be securely attached with a leash when on any association roadway or common ground. Also, please pay attention when you open your door that your pet does not run free. You never know when someone is near your property, or walking down the street. This could cause your pet to become startled and act out of character. Please prevent any situations from happening to a community adult or child due to not having your pet secure.
We understand that pets need to exercise, and it’s just not fun to leash up a pet. The safety of your pet and the other residents in an at large pet situation is the pet owners responsibility.
Knowing this is a rule, please be receptive and cooperative when approached about one of your pets not being on a leash.
- Pets:
(1) Customary household pets shall not be permitted to run at large on any Choctaw Lake road, on any property owned by the CLPOA or on any lot(s) belonging to other property owners. Whenever such animals enter upon Choctaw Lake roads or other CLPOA property, they must be under the control of the property owner or animal owner by means of a securely attached leash to prevent such animal from becoming or creating a nuisance or danger to other property owners, their families or guests. (Revised April 10, 2018).
