On 7/14, our contractor is planning to begin our east-side road drainage tile replacement project. The scope of this project is to replace the old steel drainage pipes that cross under the roadways. During this time, we will be closing sections of the roads.
The map below illustrates the work areas. The red lines are where the tiles under the road will be replaced. We will not be replacing the tile at number 11. That tile is already plastic. We will be doing work on the catch basin at the location.
The first road closure will be at East Choctaw between Itawamba and San Chez; item #1. Crews will be working in the 1475/1485 East Choctaw area. Those that live between San Chez and East Choctaw will be able to drive to and from their house. Please note that you will not be able to cross where the work is being completed though. You may have to loop around East Choctaw to get to and from.
We appreciate everyone’s patience during this project. The road closures include golf carts, bikes, and walking. The crews will be using heavy equipment. Please respect the safety of the project.
