Fall Lake Water Lowering

June 13, 2018

A motion was passed in the June 12th BOT meeting to begin the lake lowering process on October 15th this year.  The approved motion includes an October lowering date every 3 years.  Every third year, the crew will raise an additional baffle to potentially allow the winter pool level to be 4-8 inches lower.  The valve will be open on November 1st for the other years.

The reason for this is in attempt to extend the window for working on shorelines and docks.  This is especially important for those that have concrete work needed, or need to pull up stone that has moved off the shore line and into the lake.

Please plan your projects sooner than later.  Unfortunately, winter will be here before we know it.  CLPOA has a goal to take advantage of the earlier lowering date by performing concrete work on the boat launch at the marina.  Scope of work includes fixing the pot hole at the bottom of the ramp and improving the apron of the launch.
