Three Flock Safety cameras have been installed to enhance the surveillance of each community entrance road. These cameras enhance community security by reading the license plates of all cars that enter the community. The camera’s “smart self-learning” technology allows the cameras to automatically update to continue enhancing the reading capabilities. The infrared cameras allow for plates to be scanned during dark hours. The data is matched with the National Crime Information Center (NCIC). If a car enters the property that is on the NCIC database, an alert will be automatically sent to the patrol dispatch.
Flock cameras are being utilized by cities, universities, shopping centers, and private communities across the country. The CLPOA board is excited to announce the use of this technology to add another layer of security for the Choctaw Lake community.
