The Choctaw Lake Garden Club works with the Beautification Committee to plant and maintain various gardens and potted flowers around Choctaw Lake. In the past those projects have included coordinating and working on the Memorial Gardens surrounding the gazebo, the Lodge, and the Arrowhead.
In the summer, you will often find our members watering and maintaining the potted plants at the front entrances and by the Lodge. Gardens need more than just water, though! Our members will often meet to weed the garden areas.
The Choctaw Lake Garden Club holds two fundraisers annually: the spring flower sale, and the fall mum sale. You might find us at the spring and fall craft show selling raffle tickets, as well, to help raise a little money for the club.
The 2017 planned projects includes upgrading the signage in the memorial garden and, perhaps, some seeding and mulching around the lake as well.
