One of the biggest frustration I see from Property Owners is not knowing where the property lines are. Below is a great idea that I feel everyone should do.
Below are pictures from a property owner that installed PVC around his pins to use as markers. They did this over 10 years ago. Today, the pins can easily be found. This has prevented the pins from being buried due to settling and turf growing over the pins.

To do this, all you need are four PVC caps and some PVC pipe. These items can be picked up at any hardware store. It is recommended to use a 3 or 4-inch diameter pipe. Install the pipe at least 6 inches into the ground to account for future settling of the pin or ground. Once the pipe is installed, just pop the cap on!
Hope you find this helpful. Surveys can cost up to $1,000.00. I highly recommend that you mark your pins if you know where they are located. This will eliminate frustration when it comes time for you to start a project.
