Lake Use During High Water

July 6, 2022

Over the past two days, we have received 3.90 inches of rain. 2.57 inches came on Wednesday. The lake flooded during the day on Wednesday. Please note that during high water, you are to operate all watercraft at idle speed. We may not always get the word out quickly. Please use proper judgment if you choose to go out on the lake during high water. Operating at normal speed during high water will cause significant damage to shorelines and properties. As most know, we get a ton of debris and large logs/trees washed into the lake during storms. Due to this, operating at normal speeds puts boaters and anyone on a tube at serious risk of an accident. I strongly advise staying off the water during flooding and high water.

We will assess the lake level throughout the morning. As of Thursday at 6:00 AM, watercraft operation is idle speed only on the entire lake until further notice.

Thank you,

Mike
