Hello,
Many of you may have noticed that the lake water has lowered. Last week, I opened the valve to prepare for a scheduled dam inspection on Monday April 25th. The lowering was planned to allow for us to inspect the spillway.
Unfortunately, we hit two snags when attempting to close the valve. One item has been resolved. The other item is that a tree, or a large portion of a tree, is stuck in the valve. This is preventing us from closing the valve 100%. We have lowered all the baffles, and have the valve closed as far as we can. This will reduce the rate of the lake lowering. We were able to close the valve about 60%.
We expect to have this corrected the first of next week.
Thank you,
Mike
