Lodge Fireplace Update

May 3, 2023

This past weekend, the fireplace area in the lodge was updated. I thank Brian Killian for not only bringing this idea to me but also bringing a plan to put it into action. This is an idea that I have heard from several residents as well. Brian donated material and his time to install the wood feature around the fireplace. Sean Tesi donated his time over the weekend to paint the fireplace and surroundings.

It’s fun to go back through old pictures to see how things have improved. Below is a photo history of the fireplace area.

Really cool to see how the area has improved. Thank you Brian and Sean for volunteering your time. This is a great enhancement to the lodge. I am confident the rental parties will welcome this!

If you are interested in this look for your home or business, the colors are Sherwin Williams (SW) Black Fox and SW Alabaster.

Notice to the community: I encourage you to share your community enhancement ideas. It doesn’t have to be a big project. Sometimes the little things are what create the big impacts. The key is to include an action plan with your idea. Truth be told, this was not the first time Brian has talked to me about this project. However, through multiple conversations, Brian was able to present an idea and plan that allowed me to visualize the completion of the enhancement. It is a fact that not all ideas will be put into action. Providing an action plan is the best way to improve the odds of your idea coming to life.

Thanks,

Mike
