This week, the shoreline of the “flagpole” jetty got a face lift. Type C & D Rip Rap was installed along the shoreline to provide additional erosion protection. In addition to protecting the shoreline, the new rock greatly improves the appearance of this area.
The best part is that equipment and labor was donated/volunteered. Chad Brown Electric used their skid loader and dump truck to haul the material from the maintenance shop to the jetty area. Equipment, man hours, and fuel was provided at no charge to the association. Thank you Chad!
Once the material was delivered, someone had to install the stone. Sam Thomas volunteered his time to install the stone along the shoreline. Sam also used his water pump and high volume hose/nozzle to clean the stone. Well done Sam. The rip rap placement looks great!
Thanks to these volunteer efforts, a property enhance was completed while your maintenance staff was able to stay on schedule with the weekly maintenance.
Great job guys…Appreciate it!
