Madison County and Sumerford Township are set to begin a 3 month road project starting Monday July 23rd. Job site includes Old Columbus Road and Gwynne Road. Below is the timeline:
On July 23rd, work will begin on the Old Columbus Bridge. Up to Labor Day, one bridge lane will be open at all times. During this time, crews will be rehabilitating the bridge. The work will be performed under the bridge to repair areas identified as needing strengthened. Top surface work will begin after Labor Day.
After Labor Day, the bridge will be closed for 10 days. They will be doing repairs and a complete pour for the top surface of the bridge at this time. Again, both lanes will be closed for 10 days.
