This week, crack sealing was performed on West Choctaw, Chickasaw, and East Choctaw. This service was performed to extend the life of the roads that were paved last year.
Even though the roads were paved last year, we were expecting some cracks this year. This was expected since we milled 2 inches. If milled to the base, we would have experienced a reduced amount of cracks. However, the cost to perform the work would have been extremely more.
These roads are still in great shape. The cracks were small and minimal compared to before the paving work. The association is performing maintenance on the roads so that everyone gets a much longer return on the investment.
