Crews arrived on 3/27 to begin installation of the new tornado siren.
On the 27th, crews installed a new 55 foot pole. 10’ of the pole is below ground. Concrete was poured in the hole to help with securing the pole. The new siren was also installed on the 27th.
On Thursday 3/28, the electrician will connect all electric and communication wiring. Once hooked up, the siren will be tested with the count emergency system.
This means that you may hear the siren go off. Please don’t be alarmed as there are no tornadoes forcasted for the 28th. Also, don’t confuse the siren noise for Wednesday at 12:00PM. 🙂
